Arrival

The object was detected moving at over 7,000 km/hr. The surface facility and upper levels of the bunker complex were instantly destroyed on contact with the object. We don't know what it is or where it came from, but is having some lasting effect. Only one survivor responded to requests for report. He was a member of the optics engineering team, and was given orders to override the safety mechanism and vent the reaction chamber. It's clear that this sudden response from the sky is a result of the hypersolid's existence. We need to destroy it before another one of these things shows up!
